Bibio, aka Stephen Wilkinson, just released a video for last year's stellar "Dye The Water Green," a hazy minimal-folk masterpiece featuring an array of found sounds and ambient textures. The track swells and sways, expands and contracts, disintegrates to almost absolute zero in one moment, then organically recomposes itself the next. The result is nothing short of mesmerizing -- like staring intently at a waterfall and suddenly seeing overwhelmingly beautiful patterns emerge from the gently raging aquatic ether.

Fittingly, the video is equally hypnotic. The viewer is thrust forward through an endless procession of fractured, low-res nature imagery: tree-lined paths overlaid with grainy shots of winding mountain roads, placid creeks juxtaposed with sepia-toned sunsets. Image fuses with sound in an astounding synthesis, breathing new life into Bibio's majestically meditative yet occasionally meandering ode to unrequited love and the transcendent power of nature.

The Green EP is out Jan 27th on Warp Records, and is available for pre-order through Amazon.
