The 1975 explore a mysterious cityscape in the video for "Settle Down," a track from their recently released self-titled album.

The black and white video starts off innocently enough, with a child riding his bike and a coiffured Matthew Healy walking around looking forlorn. Another kid appears and the video cuts to a variety of the residents, never clearly establishing a narrative. As the kids explore the small UK town, a more sinister air bubbles up in the video, culminating in the surprising and befuddling twist at the end. The song's bright synths and bouncing guitars maintain a relatively light-hearted mood, but the forbidden love in the lyrics leaves something lurking underneath the surface of this one. Check it out above.
