Beck will released his latest album on February 25th. The album, Morning Phase, is a beautiful example of Beck's signature style of mixing various genres including folk, indie rock, and alternative. Beck has announced that he will be reuniting with many of the artists he collaborated with for his previous album, Sea Change. The artist has explained that Morning Phase is a proper follow-up to his 2008 album, Modern Guilt. The album's first single, "Blue Moon," is a gloriously mellow folk song and the second single, "Waking Light," is a bit more somber but definitely worth listening to. The remaining tracks on the album are all noteworthy, especially "Morning" and "Don't Let It Go" which both resemble folk songs of the 1960s.
Aside from a handful of side projects, including 2012's Song Reader, It has been nearly six years since the release of Beck's last album and Morning Phase is sure to please all of the fans who have been patiently awaiting new music from the talented singer.
Morning Phase is available for pre-order on iTunes. The first two singles, "Blue Moon" and "Waking Light," can also be heard here at Zumic and the album's full track list can be seen below.
