Big Boi continues releasing a new mashup every Monday. This time, we get the song "Lanes" - a mashup of "Lines" from Big Boi's 2012 solo album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors with A-ha's "Take On Me" by DJ Dungeoneze the Dungeon Family that Outkast has been part of for many years. The original song featured the same parts from A$AP Rocky and Phantogram. The video visualization was done by Johnny Woods, showcasing some '80s style futuristic 3-D graphics centered around a pretty funky automobile. Watch that above, or listen to the audio in the SoundCloud player below where you can access the free download by clicking the arrow pointing downward.

The A-ha sample is very chopped up, matching the electronic glitchy quality to the original tune "Lines." It's a little dizzying, but sounds cool all the same. The "Take On Me" keyboard part is ripe for sampling, and the vocal is one of the most iconic in the history of '80s pop music. Plus, dig the cover art featuring a Daft Punk look-alike robot helmet.
