NPR Music showcased English folk-singer Jake Bugg during a special performance at the Tiny Desk, video above. Over the last 5 years, NPR Music has hosted over 250 concerts from the Desk for talented artists such as the Avett Brothers, Wilco and Phoenix.
The Tiny Desk provides a quaint atmosphere that fits Jake Bugg's niche sound, fully equipped with Beatles memorabilia that echoes Bugg's apparent influences. Despite an initially aloof appearance, Bugg sang and strummed with a fury that envied that of Bob Dylan. His most charming song, "Me and You," was his most passionate performance, urging that "they won't catch you and me."
