The second collaboration album from Lil Wayne's imprint Young Money, Rise of an Empire, is now available for streaming on Spotify.

The album is filled with hard hitting beats and spitting hi-hats, but the more stripped down tracks are what stand out the most. "Senile" has Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Tyga on a minimal, hypnotizing beat. "Back It Up" has a very similar production to "Senile," utilizing that same eerie synth tone. Speaking of eerie, "Bang" starts with a devilish laugh and samples a sinister sounding piano. Perhaps the album's standout track is Minaj's "Lookin' Ass," which is the best she's sounded since her verse on Kanye West's "Monster." She uses an unusual flow, with all her rhymes happening in the middle of her lines.

At times albums may seem a little disjointed due to the massive amount of contributors, but not many collaboration records are concise. Rise of an Empire sounds like a mix tape of Young Money's MVPs. Check out the album stream above.
