“Brain” (Fei-Fei's Feided Remix) - Banks [SoundCloud Audio Stream]

Our first taste of Banks' single "Brain" presented us with a slow-burning, brooding tune as the Los Angeles-based artist is wont to do. Now listen to the classically trained DJ Fei-Fei spin the track into more of a trance-techno beat that starts off lighter and more atmospheric, before developing into a powerhouse full of lush, sweeping bursts of operatic sounds, that finally tapers off slowly and softly into a gauzy fade out. Fei-Fei's classical influence is clearly displayed in the way she builds tension while effortlessly blending ethereal beats into dramatic energy.
