"She's On It" & "Jack The Ripper" Medley - The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion (Beastie Boys & Link Wray Covers) [Official Music Video]

For Record Store Day, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion released a 7" of their medley of the Beastie Boys' "She's On It" and Link Wray's "Jack The Ripper," which has been a staple of the band's live shows for quite some time. Now, they've shared an official video for the track. Watch it above.

Splicing clips of The JSBX playing in the studio with live footage, the video gives you a window into the band's raucous concerts, which seem to involve a lot of sweat and thrashing. They begin with the Beastie Boys' track, cleverly changing the line "She wants to waste my time and that's no delusion" to "She wants to waste the time of The Blues Explosion," before moving onto an instrumental passage from "Jack The Ripper." As this musical change occurs, the location switches to a '60s-style bandstand and psychedelic projections begin to swirl. By the end of the video, we're back on "She's On It" for one more chorus, capping off a memorable, unique medley.
