Annie Clark, better known by the stage name St. Vincent, put together a Spotify playlist featuring her favorite current songs for Santa Monica public radio station KCRW's podcast The Organist. She also spoke about her influences with KCRW's Jenna Weiss-Berman at a Beverly Hills mansion pool house.

The 10-track playlist displays an eclectic taste in music that spotlights acts such as glam rock star David Bowie, indie rocker Surjan Stevens and the jazz stylings of singer Nina Simone. Kanye West is thrown in for good measure with his single "New Slaves." There are also some lesser-known acts to help broaden your musical horizons, including Turkish singer Selda.

During the podcast itself, Clark recounted darling stories from her childhood: an anecdote about a red guitar with plastic strings that she used to perform La Bamba by Ritchie Valens, her inherited obsession for Steely Dan (she claims to know "every note of every song by Steely Dan, including the rarities and the B-sides") and a frustration with John Denver. She then goes on to speak about the music that influenced her during her high school years, which included Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Miles Davis, Fiona Apple, and Sonic Youth.

For the seasoned St. Vincent fan, the interview will leave you even more enamored with Annie Clark than you thought possible.
