On June 3rd, Andrew Bird will release a new album called Things Are Really Great Here, Sort Of... The record is a collection of covers of songs by folk duo and former tour mates, The Handsome Family. For a first taste of the new record listen to "Tin Foiled," Bird's version of their song "Tin Foil" above.
Since his last full length, 2012's Hands of Glory, Andrew Bird has shown off his folkier side. This song is no different. It's got a rollicking tempo, and Bird strums his violin so it's akin to an acoustic guitar. His vocals are lively and flow right along with the instrumentals. This track will make you want to stomp your foot and clap along the whole way through.
