Ohio-based singer and guitarist Lydia Loveless performed yesterday for NPR Music's Tiny Desk concert series.

The 23-year-old grazed through her unique blend of country and honky-tonk, establishing herself to the in-house audience and online viewers alike that she is a no-nonsense force to be reckoned with, as well as an artist to watch out for.

Loveless has a modest yet impressive discography given her relatively juvenile career, but stuck to performing only new songs for this concert. With her husband / bass player Ben Lamb and the rest of the band -- featuring guitar, slide guitar, and drums -- she played through "Head" and "Verlaine Shot Rimbaud" off of her album Somewhere Else released earlier this year. They closed out the three-song set with her late-May single, "Mile High."

You can download the single on iTunes, and you can purchase her 2014 album, Somewhere Else, from iTunes and Amazon.
