Nicki Minaj proved she is a champion among men when she shut down the stage at Hot 97 FM's Summer Jam Concert on Sunday night. She brought out plenty of surprise guests during the hourlong set, most notably were fellow YMCMB members Lil Wayne and Drake. Almost all of the male rappers whom she brought on stage referred to her as the "queen," and this performance certainly helped to solidify that title. A recording of Denzel Washington's famous King Kong speech from the 2001 movie Training Day was an appropriate intro to "Monster," the song that put Minaj on the map as a rapper. As she strutted around stage showing off her famous booty, she was joined by some of YMCMB's newest young rappers. The Queens native treated the crowd to some of her best hits like "Did It On Em" and "Beez In The Trap." She saved the YMCMB veterans for last, of course. Wayne and Drake closed out the set with their own songs including their most recent track together, "Believe Me." After this performance, we'll definitely be on the look out for Nicki's next LP, The Pink Print, which is set to be released later this year.
