British rocker Liam Gallagher and his band have shared the first single from their upcoming album, Why Me? Why Not. Listen to the upbeat "Shockwave" above on YouTube.

In a press release shared by Under The Radar, Liam shared his excitement about making new music:

I'm buzzing. Buzzing to be alive, buzzing to be making tunes, raring to go. It's nice to be back with some new music because it means I can get out there, play some gigs and give some people some stick because that is what I do. Let's face it, it's boring without me

Now 46-years-old, the former Oasis singer seems to have matured. The song has a classic '60s rock beat, reminiscent of The Beatles and The Yardbirds, but with very modern production and some ripping guitar parts. Liam's vocal chops are still there, and he's clearly still got an axe to grind with lyrics like, "You’re a snake, you’re a weasel, you’re a pebble in the sea / And the pain you feel is washing over me."

Liam Gallagher will perform at a number of European festivals before joining up with The Who for a handful of North American dates. For concert tickets and more, check out his Zumic artist page.
