Last night, it was ATL represent on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Rapper T.I. stopped by to perform his summer smash hit "No Mediocre," his collaboration with Australian rapper Iggy Azalea. Unfortunately, Azalea wasn't a part of the live performance, but Young Thug graced the stage as the two rappers performed their track, "About The Money."

"No Mediocre" & "About The Money" Medley - T.I. ft Young Thug on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon 8.7.2014

The medley was a crowd-pleaser and showcased the Caribbean sounds of "No Mediocre" contrasted with the bluesy licks of "About The Money." The two had really good energy and fed off each other, even as T.I. squawked like a bird in his ad-libs of "About The Money." This squawking isn't without reason: The reference to birds in the song is actually a metaphor for bricks of cocaine and making sure they don't fly away. These clever homeboys from Atlanta Georgia are now starting to think outside the square, and know how to smash a live performance.

It's interesting to note, that while Young Thug has quite an eclectic sense of style -- especially when channeling Princess Leia's hairstyle -- when he performs, he exudes all things masculine and strong.

T.I. also showed his funny side last during an interview with Fallon. After Fallon gifted T.I. with a bottle of Rosé, actor Will Arnett came out on stage and caused a beef between the two saying that Fallon re-gifted the bottle. To see the hilarious misunderstanding, head to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon official website.

All jokes aside, Fallon and T.I. shared a moment of sincerity when discussing the newest and hottest female in rap right now, Iggy Azalea. In today’s society, race and gender are still prevalent issues in rap music, and Azalea is pushing those boundaries. T.I., who is now employed by the starlet, had a very heartwarming opinion on the issue, which can be viewed in the above player.

Paperwork: The Motion Picture is the upcoming ninth studio album for T.I., and is set to be released in September. To keep in the loop of T.I. and Young Thug's music, news, and tour dates, stay tuned to their respective Zumic artist pages.
