Weird Al's recent success with Mandatory Fun has thrust him back into the public eye, so the producers at the 66th annual Emmys arranged for him to lampoon the theme songs to some of the year's most popular shows.

Al bounces from the hard-drinking Mad Men to the lip-quivering Scandal, and then drops a Princess Bride reference during his send-up of Homeland. The performance's real shining moment, though, is the Game of Thrones segment. Although it starts out with a cheap joke about the show's nudity, Al really sums up what it's like to be a GoT fan. Bolstered by Andy Samberg as Joffrey Baratheon, they sing, "Don't get too attached to a certain guy (Have a backup, have a backup, have a backup) / He might drink some poison wine (That's a spoiler, that's a spoiler, that's a spoiler)." Yankovic ends the medley by presenting series author George R. R. Martin with a typewriter and imploring him to write faster. Watch the fun above.
