Above, you can watch The Foo Fighters version of the 1977 Roky Erickson song, "Two Headed Dog (Red Temple Prayer)," to celebrate 40 years of Austin City Limits as a home for music. Watch the YouTube clip above.

Dave Grohl watched the show while growing up, so he shares what an honor it is to be up on stage performing a song from a "true Austin hero." The group does stay true to the original version, which is not easy. They match the intensity, loudness, and toughness found within the song. There's something about the tune that identifies it with the Austin / Texas sound, and the Foo Fighters are able to tap into that.

You can also check out a clip that features Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Buddy Guy, Willie Nelson and his son Lukas, and Lyle Lovett performing their version of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s "Texas Flood" here on Zumic.
