Today, Queens rapper Grafh released "Walk In NY." The track features fellow New York rappers Raekwon and Dipset's VADO. "Walk In NY" is a variation on Queens rap group Onyx's song of the same name.
With this rendition, the three NY rappers are pushing that raw '90s sound back to the forefront of New York rap. In recent years, most New York rappers adopted more of a southern sound in their music, with more melodies and catchy hooks. With this gritty style that Onyx became famous for, Grafh is restoring the original sound of New York hip hop.
