Black Sabbath

Black Sabbath cannot have anticipated that their first album with the original lineup since 1978 would become their first ever to top the US charts.

13 was released June 7th in Europe and June 11th in the US. In its first week of sales, it rocketed to the top of the UK charts, the first sabbath record to hit #1 since 1970's Paranoid. Even more amazingly, after selling over 155,000 copies it's first week, the record became Sabbath's first ever #1 on the Billboard 200.

According to Blabbermouth, Ozzy had this to say: "There have been so many amazing highlights in our long career. To finally have our first #1 album in the U.S. is another incredible milestone for Black Sabbath. Thank you to all of our fans for their support and loyalty."

So far, the first single from the 13 "God Is Dead?" reached #6 on the UK charts and, appropriately, #13 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The record, available as a box set, deluxe 2 CD set, vinyl, or digital download, is available here.
