Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin is once again facing health problems. She cancelled a show in Chicago on May 20th, as well as her May 26th show at Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut. Her spokesman has said that the shows will be rescheduled, and Franklin will begin touring again in July.

The reason for the cancellation was not disclosed, other than to say it was to undergo medical treatment. They did not say what kind of treatment it was for. This is not the first time that Franklin has needed to cancel shows for health issues. She cancelled a tour in 2010 to have surgery, but once again did not say what it was for.

She did, however, return from that resting period in May 2011, as strong as ever, and went on to perform all over the country, proving that being 70 doesn't mean she isn't still the Queen. We can hope that she'll do the same this time, and stick around for a long time to come.
