On Saturday, an extremely rare 1986 Radiohead demo tape sold for £2,000 (approx. $3,192) at an auction in the UK. Recorded under the band's old name, "On A Friday," the tape is thought to be the only of its kind in existence.

When asked about the tape's origins, an auctioneer told NME that, "It has come directly from an old friend of the band who was at school with them at Abingdon School. We have copies of his school yearbook from 85/86 showing him and all four members of the band." These members, according to the tape's credits, include "Tom Yorke" and an alto sax player named Raz Peterson, but no Jonny Greenwood.

Many of the songs found on the tape have previously been found elsewhere, and thus are now on YouTube, but obviously this fact did not deter bidders. The tape was originally predicted to sell for £500 - £750, but heartily exceeded those expectations.

Check out more pictures and the tape's tracklist below, with links to YouTube for select songs.
