JAW GEMS

On Saturday night, Maine electronic 4-piece outfit JAW GEMS brought their style of chilled-out jams to the friendly atmosphere of Brooklyn Bowl in New York.

JAW GEMS are an up-and-coming group on the jamband scene, and deservedly so. Featuring Tyler Quist, Andrew Scherzer, DJ Moore, and Ahmad Hassan Muhammad, their ability to create flowing rhythms from synths, drums, and bass are nothing short of impressive. Throughout the night, they delivered songs with hints of soul, rock, psychedelia, and jazz samples that washed over the crowd like a relaxing fog of sound.

Helping to warm up the crowd before their set, DJ and Pretty Lights collaborator Chris Karnes put on a dazzling display of mixing and scratching while incorporating rock, hip-hop, soul, and electronic beats.

JAW GEMS

Having garnered praise from musicians including Lyle Divinsky from The Motet and Adam Deitch from Lettuce, JAW GEMS are a uniquely talented ensemble of young musicians that create music which resonate for the body, soul, and mind. I strongly suggest you check these guys out live when they come to your city.
