Both Jim James and My Morning Jacket were heavily involved in the launch of The Global Citizens Ticket Initiative, a social awareness program that rewards good deeds with concert tickets. For the program, Jim James has lent his "A New Life" to tUnE-yArDs Merril Garbus for a remix and she certainly leaves her project's mark on the normally slow building song adding plenty of African influenced percussion, along with some "Proud Mary" via Tina Turner "doo doo doo doo doo doos".
