Neil Young will team up with Lukas Nelson and his band, Promise Of The Real, for an album titled The Monsanto Years which will be released on June 29th. Today, we have an official music video to go along with that album. Watch the band play "A Rock Star Bucks A Coffee Shop" above via Neil Young's YouTube.

A message on Neil Young's website explains the association between Starbucks, Monsanto, and GMO's:

Contrary to the misleading information coming from Starbucks, the coffee company is in alliance with other Food Giants, including Monsanto, in suing the state of Vermont to overturn the GMO labeling laws voted for by the people.

Although the song deals with a serious topic, the rhythm is carefree and bouncy. Neil and the boys show off their whistling skills in addition to lyrics that call attention to Monsanto and GMO's.

The video sees the band playing the song in a spacious room with clips of them sharing laughs and smiles in a production room as well as in front of a mic.

Neil Young & Promise Of The Real will begin a three-week tour at Summerfest in Milwaukee on July 5. You can find more information about that here on Zumic.

The Monsanto Years is currently available for pre-order on Amazon and Neil Young's official website.
