Hip-hop guru, Styles P, linked up with fellow New York rappers, Action Bronson and Ea$y Money, for his most recent release. Produced by East-coast DJ, Statik Selektah, "All I Got" is a melodically silky smooth track accompanied by a simple, hard-hitting beat. It's also somewhat of a New York City hip-hop tribute, re-wording vocal samples from the late Big L's "7 Minute Freestyle" to resonate with today's listeners. Within the first ten seconds, Styles P posits that he's "got guns from Italy and smokes trees considerably." A bit more light-hearted than Big L's original rhyme scheme that proclaims, "I got slugs for snitches, no love for bitches."
The future for "All I Got" is uncertain. Until the situation becomes more clear, just kick back and enjoy this infectious boom-bap tune.
