Indie rockers Parquet Courts have shared an animated music video for "Almost Had To Start A Fight / In And Out Of Patience," the first single that will be on their upcoming album Wide Awake! Watch and listen through the player above.

Produced by Brian Burton, better known as Danger Mouse, the two-part track features a wide range of witty guitar riffs and punk rock vocals. In a press release, frontman Andrew Savage spoke about working out of his comfort zone:

The ethos behind every Parquet Courts record is that there needs to be change for the better, and the best way to tackle that is to step out of one’s comfort zone. I personally liked the fact that I was writing a record that indebted to punk and funk, and Brian’s a pop producer who’s made some very polished records. I liked that it didn’t make sense.

Wide Awake! is scheduled for release on May 18, 2018 through Rough Trade Records. Pick it up through the band's Spotify page.
