Feast your eyes and ears on the new music video from Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly. "Alright" dropped earlier today on Kendrick's VEVO YouTube channel, and you can watch it above.
Kendrick gave us a taste of what to expect of the video during his electrifying BET Awards performance of the song over this past weekend.
The black-and-white music video, shot in Oakland and Los Angeles, features depictions of urban America that range from brutally honest to comically absurd. Clocking in at nearly seven minutes, it's over three minutes longer than the track on the album. Kendrick asserts himself again as the poet warrior of the streets, with an uplifting message that ultimately says "Everything's gonna be alright" in spite of all the serious problems that surround us.
To Pimp A Butterfly was released on March 15, 2015. Pick it up on Amazon (CD, MP3). Listen and read our review of the album right here on Zumic.
