Today, Rihanna has shared the music video for her song "American Oxygen" via YouTube. Previously, the video was only available through Jay-Z's new music streaming service, Tidal.

The video is a strong reminder of important historical events that America has been through. Footage ranging from violent protests, sports, politics, and other significantly important occasions are shown. There are war scenes, such as the 9/11 attacks and nuclear explosions, but there are also peaceful scenes like the 1969 Moon landing. Rihanna sings, "This is the new America / We are the new America," and the video is a powerful supplement to those lyrics. She also appears to be taking part in the #FreeTheNipple campaign, which Zumic fully supports.

"American Oxygen" is the third single from her upcoming eighth studio album, R8. You can listen to the previously released songs, "FourFiveSeconds" and "Bitch Better Have My Money" here on Zumic.
