Black Label Society appeared on Late Night last night, and Seth Meyers introduced them thusly: "Since the late '90s, my next guests have been featured at the forefront of the hard rock genre. Here to perform "Angel of Mercy," please welcome Black Label Society."

Stiff, out-of-touch introductions aside, Zakk Wylde and BLS pulled out a beautiful rendition of "Angels of Mercy," a track from their recently-released Catacombs Of The Black Vatican. The song is one of their slower ballads, forgoing their typical shredding for subdued playing and softer vocal melodies. The track is still Black Label Society, however, so Zakk still ripped up a killer solo, even if he was sitting in a chair. Watch the performance above.

Catacombs of the Black Vatican was released last month and you can purchase it through Amazon.
