English rockers, Arctic Monkeys, will be headlining the inaugural Subbotnick Music Festival for their concert debut in Russia. It will take place in Moscow's Gorky Park on July 6th, 2013. Other headliners include Hurts, Foals, and Jessie Ware.
Subbotnick is the first ever outdoor music festival to take place in Russia outside of an open air stadium. Until August 12th 1989, the Soviet Union prohibited concert goers from standing and dancing during the show. The ban ended with the Moscow Music Peace Festival. Ozzy Osbourne, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi and others rocked The Luhzhniki Stadium for two days to over 100,000 fans.
There will certainly be plenty of dancing in Gorky Park on July 6th later this year.
