Why do we like David Lynch's music? Probably because it has so much in common with his films: insanity, bizarrely dark themes, supernatural weirdness, and indescribable beauty.
"Are You Sure?" fits right in. The song, off Lynch's forthcoming album The Big Dream, is dreamy, flowing, and full of swelling synth pad crescendos. The music feels like a film score, which doesn't come as much of as surprise. The vocals are massively effected and auto-tuned, but we can forgive them considering how much more bizarre they make the song. And what could we expect from a man who discovered that he is connected to the moon?
