Yesterday, Ariana Grande hosted a star-studded concert event in Manchester in response to last month's horrific terrorist bombing outside of her concert at the Manchester Arena that killed 22 and injured many more.
The Associated Press reports that the concert helped raise over £10 million ($13 million) for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund, which is still accepting donations for the The British Red Cross Society through justgiving.com and onelovemanchester.com.
The concert was streamed live on a number of television and digital media platforms, and you can watch the full 3+ hour event at Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground above, courtesy of Ariana Grande's YouTube channel.
Things started with Marcus Mumford asking for a moment of silence before performing "Timshel" from Mumford & Sons' 2009 album Sigh No More. He was followed by Manchester hometown group Take That, who played a few uplifting songs for the crowd — which was dominated by young women but represented a diverse audience that matched the diverse group of talent.
The huge field sang in unity for much of the concert, which featured performances by (in order) Marcus Mumford, Take That, Robbie Williams, Pharrell, Miley Cyrus, Niall Horan, Ariana Grande, Little Mix, Black Eyed Peas, Imogen Heap, Mac Miller, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, and Liam Gallagher.
In all, it was a triumphant concert that showed the power of music to heal and unite people after such a tragic and saddening event.
