Oklahoma City took a hit this May when tornados and flooding ravaged through the city, not only taking lives but leaving many homeless. In the midst of this terrible devastation, the music community has come together to host several benefit concerts.

"Rock For Oklahoma" was recently announced as part of an effort to raise money for tornado victims. The Kings of Leon, who are originally from Talihina, Oklahoma and the Flaming Lips, who currently reside in Oklahoma City, will be headlining the fundraiser. The line-up will also include Jackson Browne and Built to Spill. According the event coordinators, more artists will be announced.

Jared Followill, of Kings of Leon, said in a recent statement, “We couldn’t be more proud to lend a hand to our home state. We were all devastated by what happened there...we have family and friends that were affected by the tornados...this is the least we could do.”

"Rock For Oklahoma" will take place July 23 at the Chesapeake Energy Center in Oklahoma City, with tickets ranging from $35 to $50. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 14 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.
