The remaining members of The Doors, drummer John Densmore and guitarist Robby Krieger, plan to have a memorial show in honor of the death of bandmate Ray Manzarek, the keyboardist. Manzarek died of cancer last month at age 74. The pair plans to have the show sometime soon in L.A.

The death of the bandmate allowed Densmore and Krieger settle their differences after a ten-year feud. In a Q&A with Rolling Stone, Densmare explained that after years of relentless disputing and dueling lawsuits, the pair finally decided to cease fire after the death of their close friend. “I said to Robby a few weeks ago in an email: ‘Let’s have our musical reunion for Ray. Let’s play some Doors songs. I'd like to break the ice that way.’

Densmore explains the band's unexpected break-up and long-term dispute in his new book, The Doors Unhinged. After Jim Morrison's death in 1971, the three remaining band members tried to keep the band going. However, despite their efforts to stay together, they decided to call it quits in 1973.
