PHARRELL AND WILL I AM

In what is likely one of the most ridiculous legal cases anyone has ever heard of, Black Eyed Pea's rapper will.i.am recently filed a case against Pharrell Williams for the use of "I am" in the latter's newly launched YouTube channel, brand, and "cultural movement" - i am OTHER.

This week, Pharrell has fired back. According to TMZ, will.i.am has already slammed Pharrell with a cease and desist letter, and Pharrell isn't having any of it. The "Get Lucky" singer and ubiquitous producer extraordinaire is now reportedly suing will.i.am in an effort to stop him from stopping "i am OTHER".

"In contrast, the I Am Other mark means 'I am something else,' leaving what that 'else' is to the imagination of the consumer. It certainly does not mean 'I am Will.'"

What will happen next is really anyone's guess.
