In the above trailer for Gaga's upcoming album ARTPOP, subtitles declare that the singer is "no longer relevant."

While this announcement isn't news to anyone who saw last week's video of a nude Lady Gaga shouting at the woods, the video is likely an attempt at a low form of reverse psychology. It didn't work on me:

"If you don't like pop music, you should turn this off."

It's better to turn it off if you want to be able to sleep tonight.

"Lady Gaga is no longer relevant."

We know.

"Ever since Born This Way, she's a flop."

Way before that, if we're being honest.

"DO NOT buy her new single 'Applause' on iTunes."

You don't have to worry about that.

"Give her no A-P-P-L-A-U-S-E."

Deal.

"DON'T dance to the song at all."

What song?

"DO NOT buy ARTPOP on November 11."

A lot of artists want people to buy their records, but it's only right to respect your wishes.

"She's over."

I think we covered this already, Ms. Gaga, but I understand you want to drive the point home. We get it and you can stop now. Please go away.
