Dear readers,

As we reach Thanksgiving of 2014, I look back at Zumic's first ten months with a lot of thanks to give. Since launching in February, we've had 293,000 unique visitors and 497,000 pageviews, and I appreciate every one of you who came to Zumic and gave us a chance. Thank you for reading, and stay tuned for more great stuff in the future. We're learning on the fly, and I appreciate your patience through our formative time period.

Our goal is provide high quality music across all genres, which is a difficult thing to do. Music is a powerful thing and we work hard to provide you gourmet home cooked meals as opposed to fast food. We try to entertain and keep things interesting while being honest and maintaining our integrity as journalists.

We care about our audience. If you have any comments or suggestions, please let us know through our contact page or through social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instragram).

Thanks also go to the great musicians who make the beautiful music that brightens all of our days and nights. Also, many of my other friends and family (and even strangers) who have made helpful suggestions for us.

To end, I share this toast NOT WRITTEN BY KANYE WEST:

If music be the food of love, play on;
Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die.
That strain again! it had a dying fall:
O, it came o'er my ear like the sweet sound,
That breathes upon a bank of violets,
Stealing and giving odour! Enough; no more:
'Tis not so sweet now as it was before.
O spirit of love! how quick and fresh art thou,
That, notwithstanding thy capacity
Receiveth as the sea, nought enters there,
Of what validity and pitch soe'er,
But falls into abatement and low price,
Even in a minute: so full of shapes is fancy
That it alone is high fantastical.
-William Shakespeare, from Twelfth Night

Peace and love to all of you in the holidays.
