It appears as though the ever-astonishing Insane Clown Posse are tired of the FBI being down on the clown.

Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J of ICP have teamed up with four fans and the ACLU in a lawsuit to remove their fan group -- Juggalos -- from the FBI's list of active gangs. The rappers claim that their fans are being unfairly profiled by law enforcement due to their tattoos, clown makeup, and ICP-related merchandise. "Organized crime is by no means part of the Juggalo culture," they said in the complaint.

The FBI's original report claims that Juggalos are "a loosely-organized hybrid gang" who "exhibit gang-like behavior and engage in criminal activity and violence." The report goes on to state:

Transient, criminal Juggalo groups pose a threat to communities due to the potential for violence, drug use/sales, and their general destructive and violent nature.

But Violent J disagrees, telling Rolling Stone that they are but simple story-tellers:

"We don't fit in anywhere. And when people don't understand you, people fear you. All we're trying to do is be like the Stephen King of music. We like to tell horror stories."

Says Saura Sahu, a lawyer working for the ACLU of Michigan:

"The FBI had the impact they wanted: they scared people away from attending concerts and from affiliating together for the purpose of listening to music."

The FBI has until March to respond to the complaint. Stay tuned to Zumic as more details emerge.

My advice, if the rappers don't want to be targeted for drugs and violence: Change your names to "Shaggy 2 Hope" and "Non-Violent J."
