The Hold Steady recently joined The National on the list of badass "indie" bands from our home in Brooklyn who have contributed songs to the HBO hit Game Of Thrones (The National took part last year). Craig Finn and company's contribution, “The Bear & The Maiden Fair,” features lyrics by GoT author George R.R. Martin, and music by the show’s composer Ramin Djawad, yet sounds like a vintage, heart on your sleeve song by the band. It debut this past week on the show during the credits, check it out below:
