In a recent interview with The Guardian, Lana Del Rey revealed to interviewer Tim Jonze that not only does she think early death is glamorous, but that she wishes it upon herself.

She told Jonze, "I wish I was dead already." When he expressed his disbelief, she continued, "I do! I don't want to keep doing this, but I am." Doing what exactly? She claimed, "Everything." She cited Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse as artistic inspiration, who both died at age 27.

Following the interview and subsequent criticism, Del Rey blamed The Guardian for intentionally leading her to make these extreme statements, Tweeting, "I regret trusting the Guardian." The Tweets were later deleted. Tim Jonze released another article in his defense, including audio from the interview.

Her response may've been yet another attempt to come off dark and edgy, but once the late Kurt Cobain's daughter, Frances Bean, caught wind of the statements made, she fired back on Twitter. Frances was only one-and-a-half years old when her father took his own life in 1994. After exchanging a few Tweets, it seems like the two might've smoothed over their disagreement.

Note: The following Tweets have since been deleted.
