Stevie Wonder’s "Songs in The Key of Life" Tour Stop in Oklahoma City Cheapest 2015 Date on Resale Market

On November 3, the legendary Stevie Wonder will take his Songs in The Key of Life Tour to the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City. November marks the final stretch of the 2015 tour, which he kicked off on September 30, and tickets on the resale market have continued to grow in price as the tour has progressed. With just about three weeks left on the tour run, tickets to see Stevie Wonder are averaging $215 on the secondary market.

Stevie Wonder is touring in celebration of his Grammy-winning 1976 double-LP, Songs in the Key of Life, which the iconic star has been performing in its entirety throughout the tour. Songs in the Key of Life is one of Wonder’s best-selling albums. It has sold more than 10 million copies, and spawned five major singles, including two #1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100: "I Wish" and "Sir Duke." Stevie also won four Grammy Awards for the album in 1977, including Album of the Year, Producer of the Year, Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, and Best Male R&B Vocal Performance.

Currently, Stevie Wonder’s most expensive date on the tour calendar is the final night of the run, a stop at the iconic Madison Square Garden Arena in New York City on November 24. For this show, tickets are averaging a whopping $304, with a get-in price of $77. Stevie Wonder’s least expensive concert is his November 3 stop in Oklahoma City, where tickets are averaging $131 with a get-in of $52, according to TotallyTickets.

Stevie Wonder’s performance has gotten positive reviews around the country. The tour has featured a huge musical ensemble accompanying Wonder, including two drummers, two percussionists, two guitarists, a bassist, two additional keyboardists, six backup singers, a violinist, a harmonica player, and six horn players. The performance has also included a 10-piece string section and a 10-piece gospel choir.

Last February, Stevie Wonder’s The Definitive Collection zoomed back to the top of the chart following the airing of a CBS TV special, Stevie Wonder: Songs In the Key Of Life — An All-Star Grammy Salute, resurging popularity back to the R&B singer. According to Billboard, the last time Stevie Wonder was in the top 40 of the chart was 2005, when his last studio album, A Time To Love, was in its third week on the chart.
