Eagles Founding Member Glenn Frey Passes Away at 67 Years Old

The music rock world was dealt with more sad news today as Glenn Frey, founding member and guitarist of the Eagles, has passed away at 67 years old.

An official announcement was made on Eagles' Facebook page:

Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1947, Glenn Frey would achieve world-wide success with American rock band the Eagles, and shared writing credits for many of the band's most well known songs, including "Take It Easy," "Peaceful Easy Feeling," and "Hotel California." After the Eagles broke up in 1980, Frey would go on to become a prolific singer-songwriter with songs like "The One You Love" and "The Heat Is On."
