One of this year's hottest blues rock concerts is sure to be ZZ Top and Gov't Mule, as the bands have added 2016 tour dates together. The pair will team up in September with shows in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, Illinois, and Missouri.
Billy Gibbons shared a statement about the upcoming tour on ZZ Top's official website:
ZZ Top and the Mule are cut from the same dyed-in-the blues cloth... I’ve long admired the band and Warren Haynes’ guitar work. He has a certain grit to everything he does. We’re gonna have a fine time.
When do Gov't Mule / ZZ Top 2016 tickets go on sale and what is the presale code?

In related news, Gov’t Mule is getting set to release an archival album titled The Tel-Star Sessions containing never-before-released demos the band recorded at Florida’s Tel-Star Studios in 1994. You can get a taste of what will be included on that release by listening to a rocking cover of ZZ Top’s “Just Got Paid” the band released as the first single last week.
