Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile have released a new single from their upcoming collaborative LP Lotta Sea Lice, which is due for release on October 13. Check out the accompanying music video above, courtesy of the artists' YouTube channel.

With a seamless meld of acoustic and electric guitars, the music shuffles with a mellow glow alongside the endearingly inexpressive vocals of Barnett and Vile. While the lyrics appear to be an appreciative and lighthearted dedication to their "intercontinental friendships," the songwriters include a few cryptic lines toward the end that introduce a tone of complex introspectivity, such as "I walk like a bruised ego along shorefront property un-owned to me, But I'm feelin’ inferior on the interior don’t ya see, Guarded and sentimental."

The clip exhibits the two artists sharing in some wholesome family fun. In a statement on the Matador Records website, director Danny Cohen described the circumstances of the film:

Continental Breakfast was made while spending time with Courtney and Kurt in Melbourne and Philadelphia, it’s an intimate home movie into their lives and the time spent with family and friends between recording /touring. Shot on 16mm, the mini-documentary captures honest moments that show the loving and playful nature of both Courtney and Kurt. It was such a treat to experience life with Courtney and Kurt in their natural habitats. It really left me feeling like part of the family and hopefully fans can feel that too.

Pre-order a copy of the upcoming LP on Amazon. Courtney and Kurt will launch their North American tour in October. For concert tickets and more, check out the Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile Zumic artist pages.
