During last night's Route 91 Harvest country music festival in Las Vegas, Nevada, a man opened fire into a crowd of concert-goers. The attack is now the deadliest shooting in modern American history, surpassing 2016's shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

The gunman has been identified at 64-year old Stephen Paddock. Toward the end of Jason Aldean's headlining set, the man used an automatic gun to fire into the crowd, which was estimated to be in the tens of thousands. The shots came from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel where the shooter was staying. Paddock died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound as police were about to reach his room.

At this time, at least 58 have been killed and over 400 injured. After the shooting, Aldean took to Instagram to let his fans know of his situation:

Tonight has been beyond horrific. I still don't know what to say but wanted to let everyone know that Me and my Crew are safe... My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved tonight. It hurts my heart that this would happen to anyone who was just coming out to enjoy what should have been a fun night.

Details of the tragic event are still unfolding. Local officials from Las Vegas have created a Gofundme page to assist the families of the victims.

Zumic's thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this horrific tragedy.
