Scottish rockers Snow Patrol are getting ready to release a new studio album, Wildness, which will be their first in seven years. Today, they have shared a music video for "Life On Earth," a track from the upcoming LP. Watch above.

Acoustic guitar, orchestral flourishes, and a rising chorus give the track an old-school Snow Patrol feel. The video was shot at the European Space Agency in Holland, and shows an astronaut in space with sporadic images of a pregnant woman and children. The song and video together create something powerful that should have fans excited for what is to come.

Singer Gary Lightbody shared some insight about the album in a press release:

There are many types of wildness, but I think it can be distilled into two: the wildness of the modern age, all its confusion, illogic and alienation and a more ancient wildness. Something primal, alive and beautiful that speaks to our true connectivity, our passion, our love, our communion with nature and each other. This is the kind of wildness the album is centered around. The loss of it. Trying to reconnect with it. To remember it.

Wildness is scheduled for release on May 25, 2018. Pick it up on Amazon.

The band will be performing two North American shows this month before heading over to the UK for a run of dates. For concert tickets and more, check out the Snow Patrol Zumic artist page.
