Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard will be releasing his upcoming solo album Moonlander on June 25, and he has been making several of the songs on it available for streaming over the past few weeks. His latest, "King of the Junkies," is about Hitler's alleged use of methamphetamine. He posted on Pearl Jam's website:

"'King of the Junkies' was inspired by a documentary that I saw that claimed Hitler was using intravenous methamphetamines throughout this dictatorship. I was shocked that this wasn't more widely known, given his manic speeches and psychotic behavior. I figure this makes him the worst junkie of all time. The story I created imagines him in his last weeks."

The song is a sad, rock song, very reminiscent of the overall feel of "Hotel California," but with the signature grunge sound that being in Pearl Jam brings.

The first four previously released songs from the album were compiled onto an EP named Apollo, which you can download on iTunes. The next four, including "King of the Junkies," will also be compiled on another EP, called Luna, which will be available June 5, and can be pre-ordered on iTunes as well.
