1986, August 9th and 10th, English rockers The Cure play at France's Théâtre Antique d'Orange. The full concert film was only released on the now-primitive VHS and Laserdisc format, but is now accessible to today's internet-age, Cure fans by a more than magnanimous Youtube user, "aless pola," who published the full concert film on May 9th of this year.
These shows were to promote, at the time, The Cure's most recent LP, The Head On The Door - their sixth studio album, regarded by many as one of their finest. The film also includes songs from The Cure's compilation album, Standing On A Beach, which went double-platinum in the US and contains many of their hits.
