A larger-than-life Lana Del Rey wanders Los Angeles in her music video for "Doin' Time." Watch above, courtesy of her YouTube channel.

"Doin' Time" originally appeared on Sublime's 1997 self-titled album as an update of the classic "Summertime" by George Gershwin and DuBose Heyward, from the 1935 opera Porgy and Bess adapted from Heyward's first novel, Porgy. Sublime took the core building blocks of that song, with the timeless melody and lyrics, "Summertime, and the living is easy," but revamped them with a chill hip hop beat and almost entirely new words to tell a more modern story.

Lana's version keeps the relaxed vibe yet sounds fresh with her signature airy vocals and lush orchestral production. Directed by Rich Lee, the video is very eye-catching as we see a giant-sized Lana walking the streets of LA. Some of the impressive visuals include Lana stepping over highways and through a drive-thru movie screen.

The song will also appear on Lana's upcoming album, Norman Fucking Rockwell, scheduled for release on August 30.

Lana will head out on an American tour beginning in September. For concert tickets and more, check out the Lana Del Rey Zumic artist page.
