Local legends Dropkick Murphys have confirmed dates for Boston Blowout, a five-day concert series in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.
The festivities kick off March 13 at the Picasso Ballroom in Everett, then the Celtic punks are heading to Boston proper for three shows at the House of Blues — including an acoustic set and live boxing match on March 14. After a performance at Big Night Live, Dropkick Murphys will be back at House of Blues on March 17 to celebrate the big day.
As for the rest of 2020, Dropkick Murphys have a packed touring schedule ahead of them. In January and February, the band will be joined by Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls on a European tour, followed by one UK show. Also on the agenda are two festival appearances: Epicenter Festival in North Carolina and Festival de Nîmes in France. Closing out 2019, the Murphys are slated to open for Misfits at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center.
