Folk duo The Wood Brothers have released a single, entitled "The Muse," from their upcoming album of the same name. Oliver Wood calls the track "semi-upbeat, but not really a rockin' song, because there's just guitar, upright bass, and melodica." The song centers around telling a story, and despite the limited instrumentation, the Brothers deliver with excellent musicianship and vocals. Check out the song in the video above.

In an interview with Billboard, Wood also gave some insight into what the album will sound like as a whole:

"The album has a lot of variety on it. "The Muse" is very acoustic and lyrical, but then you go the other end of the album, and there's "Honey Jar," which is a little more raunchy and raucous with the electric guitar and drums. We have a variety of textures represented on the album. Thematically, I think the songs are all over the place."

Keep an eye and an ear out for The Muse, which is set to drop on October 1st through the Southern Ground record label.
